Digital technology-driven smart society governance mechanism and practice exploration

摘要: A smart society is an advanced form of society following agricultural society, industrial society, and information society, with digital data processing system as its main carrier. However, the governance of a smart society still faces many challenges. In view of this problem, first, this research constructs a smart society governance modernization strategy. Second, the innovation mode of a society governance mechanism driven by digital technology is proposed, including the precise intellectual control of a digital twin, the intelligent ubiquitous sensing of the Internet of Things, the empowerment remodeling of a blockchain and the livelihood service of artificial intelligence. Third, this study systematically explores the practice of smart society governance modernization from the aspects of basic information platform construction, evaluation system construction, application demonstration of epidemic prevention and control driven by big data, support of spatial intelligence and artificial intelligence technology for people’s livelihood, smart campus, public resources, and data governance application demonstration to provide theoretical guidance for promoting digital technology innovation in the process of the governance of a smart society.

Data-driven approach to solve vertical drain under time-dependent loading

摘要: Currently, the vertical drain consolidation problem is solved by numerous analytical solutions, such as time-dependent solutions and linear or parabolic radial drainage in the smear zone, and no artificial intelligence (AI) approach has been applied. Thus, in this study, a new hybrid model based on deep neural networks (DNNs), particle swarm optimization (PSO), and genetic algorithms (GAs) is proposed to solve this problem. The DNN can effectively simulate any sophisticated equation, and the PSO and GA can optimize the selected DNN and improve the performance of the prediction model. In the present study, analytical solutions to vertical drains in the literature are incorporated into the DNN–PSO and DNN–GA prediction models with three different radial drainage patterns in the smear zone under time-dependent loading. The verification performed with analytical solutions and measurements from three full-scale embankment tests revealed promising applications of the proposed approach.

摘要: The research elaborated the internal connections between the construction of ecological civilization and "Resource-conserving and Environment-friendly Society", introduced the practice and achievements of promoting the construction of Ecological Civilization in the National Synthetically Reform Pilot Zone of the "Resource-conserving and Environment-friendly Society" in Chang-Zhu-Tan(C-Z-T) City Cluster, which is focusing on the establishment of standard system, the promotion of reform in ten key areas, the construction of ten key environmental projects, and the promotion of ten low-carbon clean technologies. Based on this, the research pointed out structural and institutional obstacles and problems in further promoting the construction of "Resource-conserving and Environment-friendly Society" and Ecological Civilization. Finally, focusing on reform and innovation, the research provided suggestions to deepen the reform of the construction of "Resource-conserving and Environment-friendly Society" and Ecological Civilization in four aspects, such as dividend of institution, dividend of nomocracy, dividend of development, and dividend of market.

以“两型社会”建设改革推进生态文明建设工程的实践与思考

深入分析了党的十八大对生态文明和“两型社会”建设做出的战略部署,阐述了生态文明建设与“两型社会”建设的内在联系,介绍了长株潭城市群国家“两型社会”建设综合配套改革试验区以标准体系构建、十大重点领域改革推进、十大环保工程建设、十大低碳清洁技术推广为着力点推进生态文明建设的实践与成效,在此基础上,研究指出了深入推进“两型社会”与生态文明建设面临的体制机制障碍与问题,最后以改革创新为重点,从制度红利、法治红利、发展红利和市场红利四个角度提出了深化“两型社会”和生态文明改革建设的建议。

Chloride binding and time-dependent surface chloride content models for fly ash concrete

摘要: Corrosion of embedded rebars is a classical deterioration mechanism of reinforced concrete structures exposed to chloride environments. Such environments can be attributed to the presence of seawater, deicing or sea-salts, which have high concentrations of chloride ion. Chloride ingress into concrete, essential for inducing rebar corrosion, is a complex interaction between many physical and chemical processes. The current study proposes two chloride ingress parameter models for fly ash concrete, namely: 1) surface chloride content under tidal exposure condition; and 2) chloride binding. First, inconsistencies in surface chloride content and chloride binding models reported in literature, due to them not being in line with past research studies, are pointed out. Secondly, to avoid such inconsistencies, surface chloride content and chloride binding models for fly ash concrete are proposed based upon the experimental work done by other researchers. It is observed that, proposed models are simple, consistent and in line with past research studies reported in literature.

构建以公众生命财产安全、社会安定有序和经济社会系统持续运行为核心目标的安全保障型社会是实现强国目标的必有之义。在工程科技中长期发展战略研究中,公共安全作为一个跨领域的研究课题,面向科技强国和小康社会目标,结合我国国情和发展需求,开展公共安全科技发展战略研究和路径设计。本文探讨了构建安全保障型社会的内涵,介绍了以建设全方位、立体化的公共安全体系为目标的公共安全科技中长期发展战略研究和发展路径,提出了我国公共安全科技发展的总体思路和战略构想。

GDF15 negatively regulates chemosensitivity via TGFBR2-AKT pathway-dependent metabolism in esophageal

摘要: Treating patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is challenging due to the high chemoresistance. Growth differentiation factor 15 (GDF15) is crucial in the development of various types of tumors and negatively related to the prognosis of ESCC patients according to our previous research. In this study, the link between GDF15 and chemotherapy resistance in ESCC was further explored. The relationship between GDF15 and the chemotherapy response was investigated through in vitro and in vivo studies. ESCC patients with high levels of GDF15 expression showed an inferior chemotherapeutic response. GDF15 improved the tolerance of ESCC cell lines to low-dose cisplatin by regulating AKT phosphorylation via TGFBR2. Through an in vivo study, we further validated that the anti-GDF15 antibody improved the tumor inhibition effect of cisplatin. Metabolomics showed that GDF15 could alter cellular metabolism and enhance the expression of UGT1A. AKT and TGFBR2 inhibition resulted in the reversal of the GDF15-induced expression of UGT1A, indicating that TGFBR2-AKT pathway-dependent metabolic pathways were involved in the resistance of ESCC cells to cisplatin. The present investigation suggests that a high level of GDF15 expression leads to ESCC chemoresistance and that GDF15 can be targeted during chemotherapy, resulting in beneficial therapeutic outcomes.

Analysis of dispatching rules in a stochastic dynamic job shop manufacturing system with sequence-dependent

Stochastic dynamic job shop scheduling problem with consideration of sequence-dependent setup times are among the most difficult classes of scheduling problems. This paper assesses the performance of nine dispatching rules in such shop from makespan, mean flow time, maximum flow time, mean tardiness, maximum tardiness, number of tardy jobs, total setups and mean setup time performance measures viewpoint. A discrete event simulation model of a stochastic dynamic job shop manufacturing system is developed for investigation purpose. Nine dispatching rules identified from literature are incorporated in the simulation model. The simulation experiments are conducted under due date tightness factor of 3, shop utilization percentage of 90 % and setup times less than processing times. Results indicate that shortest setup time (SIMSET) rule provides the best performance for mean flow time and number of tardy jobs measures. The job with similar setup and modified earliest due date (JMEDD) rule provides the best performance for makespan, maximum flow time, mean tardiness, maximum tardiness, total setups and mean setup time measures.
